Kevin J. Belew

Investor, Developer and Builder. Mr. Belew’s professional career began as a consultant at Hewitt Associates in Chicago, IL.

After business school and during the next 30 years, he developed and built more than 3,000 homes (apartments, condominiums, town homes and single family) and residential lots in Michigan, Tennessee, and Alabama. His largest housing business was Norfolk Homes ($25m in annual sales on average; started in 1993 and sold in 2011) which developed and built condominium, town home and single-family communities in three states.

He was also involved in starting and growing various other businesses in long term health care (Laurel Health Care), land investment, office

development, restaurants/bars in Michigan, hotels/restaurants/pubs in the United Kingdom and manufacturing in Michigan. Mr. Belew was also recently engaged in renovating and repositioning luxury homes in Ann Arbor. He is currently entitling and developing residential lots (Great Tennessee Land Company), an office property (Petra Investments), a large mixed-use project (7399 Nolensville Road), and building homes and townhomes (Blue Sky Builders; 2120 Metro North Partners; and Ireland Street Partners) in the Nashville, TN area.

Blue Sky Builders is Mr. Belew’s newest venture. Blue Sky Builders builds homes and townhomes in Middle Tennessee with M&S Builders (Mikel Hunsucker). Mr. Hunsucker and Mr. Belew have built more than 100 homes together mostly at VanderHill Homes and now at Blue Sky Builders. 

Mr. Belew is a graduate of Kalamazoo College BA and the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan MBA. He has three grown children and currently lives with his wife Honor in in Nashville, TN.
